20 years global brand

Effective October 1st, 2003, the worldwide branches of the Sumitomo Heavy Industries Power Transmission and Controls Group announced their affiliation to the new global brand developed to integrate our global businesses: Sumitomo Drive Technologies.

Since then, our company had increased its presence in more than 34 countries in the 5 continents, through Sumitomo Drive Technologies, Lafert Group and Invertek Drives and their 37 companies plus local divisions. All these companies fall under the parent company of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Power Transmission and Controls Group.

This brand name had been captured in a few words the essence of our capability, capacity and commitment; to serve industries and sectors around the world. Today our brand is a global ambassador of 15 manufacturing plants, and more than 300 assembly centers and sales offices; and through a renovated and vital Mission: “Deliver the best possible drive solutions to build a better tomorrow”, we are more than prepared to continue growing our business through a customer-centric perspective improving our service and maintaining our excellence quality levels worldwide.

Our Global Branding activities include not only the maintenance, development and improvement of our visual identity, but also a series of actions to optimize business capabilities to align Sumitomo Drive Technologies global brand constantly as part of our Statement: “Even though you don’t always see us, we are always by your side, as a constant driving force. We drive society forward, creating connections between people and technology, making life better every day. We aim to create the maximum impact with every step forward. Our mission is for your well-being.”

We strive to create a better world, sharing our philosophy, delivering effective solutions, building on a passion for technology and ensuring our planet’s future. Together, we had been driving toward a better, and a more sustainable world no matter the global challenges and circumstances we had been living in the last 20 years and what’s going to be part of the upcoming years.
