SM Cyclo of Canada Appoints Garett Lobo as Managing Director
Oakville, ON — SM Cyclo of Canada, Ltd. (SMC), a leading provider of power transmission solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Garett Lobo as Managing Director, effective July 1, 2025.
Garett brings a strong track record of leadership, financial acumen, and strategic insight to his new role. With 15 years’ experience at SMC, in the capacity of Controller and Director of Finance, he has worked closely with teams across the organization. More recently, Garett has deepened relationships with customers, and broadened his operational perspective, demonstrating a clear commitment to SMC’s continued growth and innovation.

Garett succeeds Greg Banero, who will retire at the end of 2025 following a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years. Greg played a pivotal role in SMC’s growth and success, and his leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact on the company and its people.
